This configuration change will provide 25 mm (roughly 1 inch) of space (front to back) at top of the case. Suggestion if you are going to use a 2-fan CPU cooler: Before you install anything inside the case, remove the rear exhaust fan and install it on the outside of the case (instead of the inside). Also, this case could not support two video cards I barely had adequate clearance for my one video card and its two power supply cables (GTX 1080 FTW2). With the H100i installed there are insufficient clearances between the cooler and: (1) the CPU power cables (2) the rear exhaust fan (3) the top optical drive bay and (4) the 3 CPU fan connectors at top of motherboard. I would never have purchased this case if I had known the truth. Corsair's official YouTube video for the 330R makes the same claim. The “Specifications” for the case on the Corsair website specifically list the Corsair H100i (2-fan) CPU cooler as being compatible with this case. Building with this case became a nightmare. Repeating: DO NOT use the Corsair 330R case with a 2-fan CPU cooler. I would have given the 330R a 4-star rating if Corsair had not claimed that this case was compatible with their H100i v2 CPU cooler. Rating with a 1-fan cooler or top-mounted fan: 4 stars Keep in mind that the 330R's maximum CPU cooler height is 160 mm (per Corsair). It would be suitable for a computer with a 1-fan CPU liquid cooler or an CPU air-cooler (such as those made by Noctua or Cooler Master). The 330R would be a good case for a general purpose computer that is not used for gaming, video editing, or animation. Quite simply, this case is too small to properly accommodate a 2-fan CPU cooler or more than 1 video card. Lastly, Corsair, please, please bring back the C70 case, or something quite like it.ĭo not buy the Corsair 330R case for a gaming computer. I think he or she would immediately change the Corsair's technical specifications for the 330R to explicitly state that it is not compatible with the H100i v2 cooler. I would humbly suggest that a Corsair vice president attempt to build a computer with the Corsair 330R case, the Corsair H100i v2 CPU cooler, and Corsair AX power supply cables. ![]() I loved every Corsair case I ever used, except for this 330R case. ![]() For my many home-built computers, I have used only Corsair parts for the following: cases, memory, power supplies, CPU coolers, and fans. ![]() I can recommend this case if you are going to use a Corsair H60 cooler (or similar) but if you want to use the H100i v2 cooler, just know that the build is possible, the build will be more challenging than it would be for a larger case (such as the old C70).Ī message to the great folks at Corsair: I love Corsair products. While I did manage to build my computer with the H100i v2 cooler, it was quite challenging and frustrating due to the extremely tight clearances (explained in the full review). I chose this case because Corsair specifically promised that it is compatible with the 100i v2 CPU cooler. The 330R is a good case the build quality is high for the price. I regret choosing this case for that build. Short Review: I used the Corsair 330R case to build my new gaming computer, which included a Corsair H100i v2 CPU cooler and the Corsair AX860 power supply. ![]() To learn more about how and for what purposes Amazon uses personal information (such as Amazon Store order history), please visit our Privacy Notice.
